ShimSheet ("we", "our", "the app") is a pipeline shim tracking tool for field operations. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address — for account authentication and communication
Display name — shown to team members in collaborative projects
Authentication tokens — from Google or Apple Sign-In if you use those methods

When you use the app, we store:

Project data — shim entries, support data, and project configurations you create
Team data — project sharing relationships and role assignments

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the ShimSheet service
To authenticate your identity and secure your account
To enable team collaboration features (sharing projects, sending invitations)
To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, team invitations)

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on our servers. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. We do not store your Google or Apple passwords.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

With team members you explicitly invite to your projects
If required by law or legal process

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Sign-In — for optional authentication (governed by Google's Privacy Policy)
Apple Sign-In — for optional authentication (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy)
Resend — for transactional email delivery

Your Rights

You may:

Access your personal data through the app
Delete your account and all associated data via Settings
Request a copy of your data by contacting us

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data and project data you own is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

ShimSheet is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
